History

Founded in 1527, the Philipps University of Marburg stands as both one of the oldest universities in Germany and one of the oldest Protestant universities across the entire world.

Currently it operates as a public university, in the state of Hesse, and is best known for it’s famed life sciences research.

Admission requirements

Admission to the Philipps University of Marburg doesn’t tend to have a specific cut-off in most courses, as such a university entrance qualification is the main requirement to study in it, however as a German institution, it requires international students to pass the German Language Examination for University Entrance.

Student Life

The Philipps University of Marburg counts with it’s own selection of museums on campus, as well as a theater and choirs, making sure all artistically inclined students will find an activity of their interest without even leaving the premises. The University Sports Centre hosts several gymnasiums and outdoor pitches for students to remain fit or become competitive players, and as one of the largest sports provider in Marburg it counts with tailor-made classes.

Part-time work
