McMaster University

Founded in 1881, McMaster University was originally known as the Toronto Baptist College, one of many institutions born from the many educational initiatives held by Baptists in that era, the institution would then be reformed thanks to the donations of Senator William McMaster and then merged with Woodstock College, through this process the university was renamed to McMaster University, the name it occupies to this day.
