History
The University of Guelph was officially established in the year 1964, but it’s roots date further back, when the government of Ontario bought the lands that would see the construction of the Ontario School of Agriculture, all the way back in 1874, the institution slowly but surely saw growth, expanding into other areas like apiculture and home economics, which saw the inclusion of women amongst it’s ranks.
Ultimately the different facilities would be amalgamated by the city of Ontario to found the University of Guelph in the year 1964, the reformation saw with it a change in founding and staff which led to it’s growth across the years, but even in it’s modern form, the institution remains famous for the quality of it’s veterinary and agriculture courses.

Admission requirements
High School results are the main factor taken into consideration for enrollment at the University of Guelph, six 4U or 4M courses are expected of all applicants, and a large focus is given to their handling of English.
Estimated cut-off ranges are usually around 78%, however this can vary from faculty to faculty and from year to year.
