History
First founded in 1948, the University of Ibadan was originally one of many college branches of the University of London, the British institution would oversee the development and processes of the institution as part of it’s attempt to properly introduce secondary education to the nation, in fact while Ibadan itself was the merger of previous schools, as those focused on vocational education, Ibadan is the first proper University of Nigeria.

Admission requirements
Admission into the University of Ibadan is handled by the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board, as is common for all Federal Institutions in the country, as such prospective students are required to present the UTME Test, UTME which stands for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination is a test presented through computers that lasts roughly 2 hours and helps grade students interested in undergraduate programs across the nation.
